A cabinet card studio portrait of a seated older woman, A. P. Newdick, Los Angeles, 1890s. The woman wears a gray dress with black velvet decorative elements at the neck and breast. She sits on a couch or settee and has her left hand on her lap and her right hand on the seat at her side. On the reverse are pencil inscriptions: "Aunt Marguerite / 'Marget'" and "Mother Gridley's sister." The photo is faded, especially about the woman's head and there is light soiling and edge rubbing, so the condition is fair.
