Description
A real photographic postcard, studio portrait of a small group at the beach, Redondo Beach, ca. 1910. The photograph was taken at Lemon's Studio. Two women in their swimsuit dresses and stockings sit on a bench holding a long rope between them. Behind them is a man in his sleeveless swimsuit holding binoculars in his hand. To their left a man with a moustache, pushes a small wheelbarrow. To the right a man poses with a small shovel in the ground. The backdrop is a scene at the beach, waves crashing and a pier in the distance. There is a postage stamp box on the reverse with the studio's name. There is minor silvering throughout, abrasions along the edges and darkening to the image but it is in good condition.
