Description
A cabinet card photograph studio portrait of Pedro Antonio Orfila (3 May 1865 - 23 June 1930). Photograph taken by W--, Third Street, Los Angeles, 16 September 1895. Orfila is the son of Maria Antonia Dominguez (1822-1901) and Antonio Orfila (b. 1832). There is an ink inscription on the reverse. Orfila is shown in a three-quarter profile view from the shoulders up. He wears a striped bow tie and a pin on his lapel. He also has a moustache. The board supporting the photograph has been trimmed around the edges, photographer's name is partial. There is also a newspaper fragment adhered to the reverse. The photograph is moderately scratched, abrasion damage, warping along the edges, and fading. It is in fair condition.
