Description
A cabinet card photograph, studio portrait of the Orfila family. Photograph by J. Cook, San Pedro, Los Angeles, 23 November 1900. In the photograph: Jose Clemente Orfila (b. 1858), Antonio Orfila (b. 1832) and Maria Antonia Dominguez (1822-1901). The parents are sitting in front with an animal fur at their feet. Jose stands in the back with a hand resting on each chair. All three wear dark clothing. An inscription on the reverse identifies the subjects and it was presented to Delia Josefina Davoust (Hutchinson) (1875-1973), Dominquez's granddaughter. The photograph is in good condition with minor edge abrasion and discoloration.
