"Sunset," June 1899 (Vol. III, No. 2), published by the Passenger Department, Southern Pacific Company, San Francisco. The item is a "Special Los Angeles Edition" for the National Education Association conference in that city. The item offers much information on Los Angeles, southern California, and the state broadly, including suggested sightseeing excursions. Toward the back is information on lodging, routes and rates by rail and sea, and general information and statistics on the state. There are many illustrations and some advertisements. At the rear is a foldout map of the state showing Southern Pacific Company rail lines and lists of company officials and agents. With tears, soiling, creases and edge rubbing to the wrappers, but generally clean pages, the condition is fair.
