Description

Color: Black; White A 78-rpm recording including "Sunshine," written by Irving Berlin and "Back in Your Own Back Yard," written by Al Jolson, Billy Rose, and Dreyer and performed by Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra, issued by the Victor label, 21240-A and B, 1928. The label has a scroll-patterned border with the letters "VE" at the top, the logo of the company, showing Nipper the dog listening through a victorla's horn, indication that both songs were fox trots and that "Sunshine" had a vocal chorus; the label name, the identification number, song title in English and Spanish, songwriters' names, artist, and company name and city of business. Performing on this record as part of the orchestra are vocalist Bing Crosby and corneist Leon "Bix" Beiderbecke, two of the legendary musicians in American music. In good condition, the item has scratches on the record surface; light soiling and faded lettering on the label; and some small stains on the record surface.
