"Sunshine Year Book," issued by the Los Angeles Branch, International Sunshine Society, 1913. The item consists of short poems and aphorisms of an uplifting nature organized by the individual days of the year. The name of the item is in gold embossed lettering on the front wrapper, along with a color image of a California poppy field framed by oranges and a poinsettia flower. The organization, which operated a home for blind babies, a sanitarium, a girls home and others, was formed in New York in 1900 and had 2,000 branches by 1913. With edge tears, creases, rubbing, soiling and browning to the wrappers and clean pages, the overall condition is fair.
