Description

TABLECLOTH WITH EMBROIDERED PARROT AND BUTTERFLY DESIGN Color: Black, blue, brown, green, red, white, and yellow A tablecloth with embroidered butterfly and parrot design, ca. 1900, believed to have been made by Lucille C. Workman [Buehler Montenegro], daughter of Joseph and Josephine Belt Workman. The square item has black dots at the corners and a black border. At one corner is a parrot in blue, green, red, and yellow on two brown branches. There is a butterfly next to the bird and at the other three corners in a variety of colors. In fair condition, there are a few small stains and, at one corner, the border thread is missing in a 5" section and much of the thread at the corner is gone, as well.
