Description

Color: Black; Blue; Red; White A brochure on southern California sightseeing by Tanner Motor Tours, 1928. When folded, there is a front panel with a red top and the phrase "Sightseeing / in Los Angeles / and all of / SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA / by . . ." and an image of tour bus. At the bottom is information on the company. The back panel continues the scene of the tour bus driving in a mountainous area and has the same company information on the bottom, but at the top is the phrase "TOURING / TIPS / TO / TOURISTS." When opened once and turned over, the item has a southern California map showing the coverage of the company. The original owner used a red pen to draw in the route taken for a tour. At the bottom is more information on the company's services and a date of 1 January 1928 for effective rates, schedules, and routes. When fully opened, the item has seven tour packages listed, including number 7, marked in pencil and with an inscription at the bottom indicating the owner had taken this trip. Information includes locales, times of departure and fare prices. In good condition, the item has light creases; original folds; small edge and fold tears; and rubbing at edges and corners.
