"Tax Payers' Guide" (Los Angeles: County of Los Angeles, 1925), 61 pp. A soft cover book with a brown cover and a simple brown border with the cover text inside. The book, prepared for the individual and corporate tax-payer provides a complete schedule of the various county taxes, providing information also on payment; statements; liens and exemptions; redemption rates; special district taxes and seizure property for unpaid taxes. Tables providing assessed valuations; tax rates; detailed tax levies; expenditure estimates; information on special districts and improvement bonds; incorporated city statistics; comparative rates from 1875 to 1925; and school district valuations and rates. The item is in fair condition with brittleness, creases, and tears on the covers; creases and some dents; some discoloration on the cover and pages; and the document was folded in half. The stapled binding was replaced by museum staff with cotton thread.
