TEMPLE BLOCK/SPRING STREET, LOS ANGELES, 1870s. Color: Black; White The bustling scene shows Spring Street and Temple Block and its commercial buildings. The building on the left features distinct architectural arches and has a "Dollar Store" sign near the edge of its roof. At the left are pedestrians walking on a sidewalk made of wooden planks. There are horse-drawn carriages parked further up along the left side of the street. A portion of the Temple block is located toward the upper right section of the photograph. It is in fair condition due to soiling, scratches, and moderate discoloration of the image.
