Color: Black; Blue; Brown; Green; Red; White
A Christmas card (a) with stationery tissue (g) and an envelope (c) from the Temple family, ca. 1927. The card has a red border and an embossed panel, within which at the left is a color image of an archway scene of a Spanish Colonial Revival-style home's courtyard. Grass, shrubs and bushes, a vase, a wall with an arched opening, a tile roof, a portico floor, and bench are features in this scene. To the right is the printed inscription "With kindest thoughts and best wishes / for Christmas and the New Year / Mr. Walter P. Temple / and Family." The tissue is standard ribbed material folded not quite in half. The envelope is plain on the exterior, but has a deep red lining and the name and the embossed inscription "FRANCIS H. WEBB / ENGRAVERS / LOS ANGELES," on the envelope's body under the flap. There is little wear or damage on the card, except for the dented lower left corner and a very small stain at the center. Likewise, the tissue has only some creasing. The envelope has some stains at the top of the front, some browning, and a few creases. The overall condition of the three pieces is good.Lexicon
