Color: Black; White
A black and white reproduction negative of the Temple Pharmacy and a hardware store, ca. 1924. The pharmacy, which was located in a brick building on the northeast corner of Las Tunas Dr. (then Main St.) and Sunset Ave. (now Temple City Blvd.), is at the center, with the unpaved streets across the bottom and at the right. Over the door is a sign that reads "DRUGS," and another over a window with the words, "Temple Pharmacy / WILL OPEN HERE MARCH 8TH." Lettering on the windows describes some of the goods which were sold at the store. A hardware store is at the left, and some of the goods which were sold there are visible through the large windows. A sidewalk is at the front of both businesses and on it stand several people. Many automobiles are parked at the curb. At the right of the back is a small brick building and in the distance are utility poles, scattered buildings, and trees. A print of the image is in the collection and is item 93.10.1.13. The artifact is in good condition with no signs of damage or wear.
