Description

Negative, Photographic: A black and white photographic negative showing construction of the Tepee, 1927. Shown is the building from the east with about one-half of the adobe wall erected. Above the top of the wall is part of the framing. At right a worker is on a ladder, evidently putting mortar on the top row. In the foreground is a pile of dirt, sawhorses, a basic scaffold, and a mortar box with a tool in it. Also seen at foreground left is one of the stone planters. Behind the tepee is a large palm tree. In the background right can be seen a small part of the west side of the Mission Walkway. Other photographs, with dating from Thomas Temple, indicate 1927 as the date of the photograph. Prints in the museum collection are 077 and 646. In good condition with no discernible wear. None Number-Units: 1
