Description

TEPEE FROM THE NORTH SIDE OF THE LA CASA NUEVA WEST LAWN Color: Black; White A black and white negative of the Tepee from the north side of the La Casa Nueva west lawn, ca. 1941-42. The photographer stands at the far north end of the lawn with the Tepee seen at center. The structure has the wood porch cover, though no vine appears to be growing. In front of the building, however, are three sycamore trees, denuded of growth indicating a winter shooting. At the left is part of La Casa Nueva's west side, including the arbor that was outside of the music room, on which a flowering vine was growing. Most of the house is obscured by the trellis. At right are a palm tree and a fir tree, while the foregound shows part of the lawn and one of the adobe planters. The object is in fair condition. Number-Units: 1
