Color: Brown; Green; Yellow
A color polaroid photograph of the upper portion of the interior of the Tepee before the beginning of restoration, by project architect Raymond Girvigian, 26 December 1978. Taken from the entrance, the view is of the northwestern corner with a row of tiles inset in the wall along the bottom. Slightly below this is the very top of the doorway to the bathroom and the north-facing window. A ladder is at the bottom right corner, above which is part of the sunlight window. The greater portion of the image shows the deteriorated plaster with much flaking and loss of material. At the upper left and left is a chain and bulb socket for a ceiling fixture, which was removed. On the reverse is an ink inscription by Girvigian reading "Teepee / interior ceiling / prior to restoration / as-found condition / photo by archt 12/26/78." Below this is a stamp with Girvigian's name, business address, and telephone number, covered by a piece of scotch tape. Showing little sign of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
