Description

Color: Green; Yellow A color polaroid photograph of the Tepee under restoration, taken 12 March 1979 by restoration architect Raymond Girvigian. Taken from the east, the image shows the structure surrounded by metal scaffolding with wooden planks. At the lower center is some plastic sheeting, presumably used to cover the structure against rain. In the lower left area is the eastern-facing window with the right panel missing. Below this is the front patio wall with the front door being at the extreme left. Toward the upper right is the skylight. It is not known what particular work was being done at the time the image was taken, though an inscription in ink by Girvigian at the upper reverse reads "Teepee / east view prior to / completion of restora- / tion. / photo by archt 3/12/79." Below this is Girvigian's stamp with office address and telephone number. Over this is a piece of scotch tape. There is some light surface soiling on the back, but the artifact is in good condition.
