Description

Color: Brown; White A color polaroid photograph of the apex of the Tepee under restoration, taken February 1979 by restoration architect Raymond Girvigian. The close-up view shows the plaster completely removed and the underlayer of cement, woood frame and chicken wire, on which the original plaster was applied. In the background is a chimney and part of the roof of La Casa Nueva, indicating that the view is from the south or southwest. It is not known what particular work was being done at the time the image was taken, though an inscription in ink by Girvigian at the upper reverse reads "Teepee / view at top prior to / restoration / photo by archt 2/79." Below this is Girvigian's stamp with office address and telephone number. Over this is a piece of scotch tape. There is little or no indication of wear or damage, so the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
