Description

Color: Blue; Green; White A color polaroid photograph of the upper portion of the exterior of the Tepee under restoration taken July 1979 by restoration architect Raymond Girvigian. The structure is surrounded by scaffolding, consisting of metal framing and wood plank catwalks. Although the plaster on the structure appears to be weathered and damaged, it is not known if the photograph was documenting the preparations for new plasterwork or was taken for some other purpose. At the top, over the building, are branches and leaves of the sycamore trees around the Tepee. An ink inscription on the upper reverse by Girvigian reads "Teepee / view of s.w. elev. / during restoration / photo by archt 3/12/79." Below this at center is a stamp with Girvigian's name, business address and telephone number, covered over with a piece of scotch tape. There is little or no indication of wear or damage, so the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
