Description

Color: Brown; White A color polaroid photograph of the Tepee under restoration, taken 26 December 1978 by restoration architect Raymond Girvigian. Taken from the east, the structure has scaffolding around the lower sections, consisting of metal framing and wood planks. At the lower left, the east-facing window consists of the frames with the windows lying inside against the wall and window space. Further to the lower left, pieces of wood are lying on top or against the low patio wall. The entrance is barely discernible at the left, as well. At the upper right is the skylight with some work being done there. Toward the lower right is a large patch of gray where plaster work is being done and the entire structure seems to be in need of complete replastering. On the reverse is an inscription in ink by Girvigian reading "Teepee / view from east / prior to restoration / photo by archt 12/26/78." Below this is a stamp with Girvigian's name, business address and telephone number, covered over by a piece of scotch tape. There is little or no indication of wear or damage, so the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
