Description
The Abbey Hotel and neighborhood, Los Angeles, ca. 1920s. The four-story brick structure at 825 W. 8th Street at Figueroa contained stores in the first level and hotel rooms above. The structure name is painted at the upper left corner of the side. Next door is the 8th Street Auto Park with cars parked on the lot. Across an intersection is a large structure with two wings, topped with a flag pole and containing a Sun Drug store at the street level. The site is now a parking lot. The condition appears to be good.
