Description
The airplane "Spirit of St. Louis," at Los Angeles, probably September 1927. The snapshot is of the craft, which Charles Lindbergh used for his famed trans-Atlantic flight in May 1927, parked in front of a bunting-decorated hangar and surrounded by onlookers. It is assumed the plane was in Los Angeles as part of Lindbergh's national tour. With a section of the left corner missing, corner creases, and light soiling, the overall condition is fair.
