Description

"The American Catholic," July 1914 (Vol. VIII, No. 7), published by Rev. Harry Wilson, Los Angeles. The magazine, from a denomination of Episcopalians that considered themselves true Catholics, has an editorial on a world conference and articles on a campaign to rename the church from Protestant Episcopal to "American Catholic", the visitation of the Virgin Mary, Catholic laymen in a Protestant parish, and others. There are also many advertisements. With some very heavy soiling and staining on the wrappers particularly on the back, edge rubbing, and creases, the condition is poor.
