Description

The black and white photograph of two men dressed in charro suits on horseback, on a grass patch ca. 1920s. The charro suit is a traditional Mexican horseman's regalia. The suit is composed of tight fitted jackets and pants that have elaborate metal decorative components, silk ties, long sleeved shirts, and sombreros. At the forefront of the image are two men wearing charro suits while on horseback and their horses appear to have leather decorated reigns and bits. There are numerous people, mostly men wearing three piece suits and hats at the background. At far right, there is a car and a wooden structure and toward the left are two young girls appearing to wear riding pants and jackets, and further back are tents with flags at the top and a mountain range. Perhaps the event was that of a horsemanship, riding festival. With minor warping and fading, it is in good condition.
