On the inside front cover are candy recipes. The first page has a brief introduction, under whiich is a brief list of foods to serve in each month and an index by type of food (desserts, meats, salads, soups, vegetables, and etc.) Pages following cover Sunday dinners; cooking timetables and temperature charts; recipes lists by week for Sunday dinners each month; an insert amidst the July sections showing ten salad recipes for summer, novel desserts, sandwiches and other recipes; and sections after the monthly recipes concerning historic recipes, including Christmas dinner menus from 1850 and 1875, with approximate years items had been in use to date, as well as historic cakes, New England recipes; and candy, cake, and dessert recipes concluding. There are many photographs of recipe items, including some that were colorized.
