The sample item has some history of petroleum development in California; the change from coal to oil for fuel uses; many small essays on uses of petroleum; oil in Ventura County; the Laughlin Building in Los Angeles, where the periodical was published; and material on The California-Pacific Oil Company and the Green Mountain Oil Company, which shared the same office space in the Laughlin Building. With pencil marks, soiling, stamps and rubbing to the wrappers and dented and creased pages, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
