"The California Horticulturist and Floral Magazine," January 1879 (Vol. IX, No. 1), edited by Charles Shinn and published by John H. Carmany and Company, San Francisco. The item contains articles and news related to horticulture, farming and landscape gardening and also features advertisements, mainly for Bay Area businesses. Many of the pages are uncut. The front cover is missing and back cover is detached and there are many tears, creases, soiling and other wear, so the condition is poor.
