Description

A snapshot of the Carthay Circle Theater area, Los Angeles, F. Morrison Boyd, 1925. The image is taken from a park nearby and there is a statue of a gold miner amidst a pond with large rocks and landscaping in the foreground. The theater with its large tower and lighted rooftop sign is behind the statue and there are other commercial structures nearby. On the reverse is a pencil inscription, "circle theatre / by day." Boyd, the road scout for the American Automobile Association, was on a 37,000-mile road trip of the U. S., Mexico and Canada. With some soiling and browning, the overall condition is good.
