"The Christmas-Gift," by Fr. Bruckmann, published by Geo. Kirchner and Co., New York, 1879. The image, made by a German photographer, shows a child next to what appears to be a workbench, on which are pots and plant material. The title, date, photographer's name, and publisher's name are at the bottom and a series name "The Juvenile Gallery, II" is at the top. On the reverse is a poem, "The Boy and the Sparrow." With light soiling and minor edge rubbing, the condition is good.
