"The Christmas Tree: A Book of Stories," by Mary Howitt (New York: C. S. Francis and Company,) 1850. The work contains twelve stories and poems of between two and thirty-nine pages, with two dealing directly with Christmas and the others being of varied topics. There are lithograph illustrations including one of children around a table-top tree on a front flysheet. With the text block shifted, the boards worn, bumped and faded and pages foxed and soiled, the condition is fair.
