"The Code of Civil Procedure for the State of California," James H. Deering (San Francisco: Bancroft-Whitney Company,) 1899. The work lays out the 1872 code with amendments to date and includes four parts: courts of justice, civil actions, special proceedings and of evidence. There is also reproduction of the insolvency act. There is also an appendix of recent legislation affecting civil procedure and a lengthy detailed index. With separated and heavily worn boards and pages browned and somewhat soiled, the condition is poor.
