A postcard of the Los Angeles Coliseum, postmarked August 15, 1926. The colorized aerial photograph shows the stadium at the lower center, including the oval complex consisting of a bordering road, gardens, colonnades, and other components. To the north, or toward the top of the image, is the rest of Exposition Park, including the Los Angeles Museum, the rose garden, and other facilities. At the very top of the photo is the campus of the University of Southern California and adjacent residential areas. Figueroa Street is at the right and Exposition Boulevard is toward the top. The divided back has a message at the left, an address at the right, a postmark at the top center, and a cancelled two-cent stamp at the upper right. Preprinting includes the publisher's name at the left and the words "POST CARD" at the top center. With corner rubbing, stamp adhesive residue, creases on the back, soiling, and some discoloration, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
