Description
The construction of the surgical ward of Los Angeles County Hospiral, by G. H. Bishop, early 1920s. The view taken from the adjoining street shows the steel structure and some of the cement facing applied to the lower three stories. A new front wall is in place and there are palm trees planted off to the left. Bishop's stamp is at the lower left and an ink inscription "Surgical Ward / Co. Hospital" is at the reverse lower left. With album paper residue at the reverse corners and some creasing and soiling, the overall condition is good.
