"The Development of Harvard University," edited by Samuel Eliot Morison (Cambridge: Harvard University,) 1930. The 660-page hardcover book, with a dustjacket (see item 1.2), has a red cloth cover with the title, author's last name, and the Harvard logo on the spine. The work, the first of a series celebrating the 300th anniversary of the university, consists of histories of elements, such as colleges and schools, of the university written by others and edited by Morison. After Morison's preface is an introductory section on administration followed by the discussion on schools and associations, including the Law School, attended by William W. Temple from 1872-74 and Thomas W. Temple II from 1926-29. At the end is an index. There are also many illustrations, mainly portraits. With spine and corner rubbing, dents at the corners, page yellowing, and mustiness, the condition is good.Lexicon
