Description
A black and white photograph of the entrance and ticket booth to the Mission Playhouse, San Gabriel, 1915. Taken from across Mission Drive, the view shows persons gathered in front of and walking by the theatre, with a couple at the ticket booth at the center. Tall, thick pepper trees obscure a view of most of the structure, which was replaced by the current playhouse, now the Civic Auditorium, in 1927. On the reverse is a pencil inscription, "Ticket Office & Entrance / Mission Play San Gabriel / Mission." With some yellowing and soiling, the overall condition is good.
