The front cover has the phrase "The Journal of the Musical Home Everywhere" at the top in blue letters. Below this is the periodical title in white letters with a dark lining. The title is superimposed over an image by Charles D. Golden titled "THE DREAM OF CHOPIN," which shows the composer from the shoulders up and resting his hand on his face in a dreamy pose. In the background is a vague, ethereal scene to evoke a dreamlike state. The price per issue and per year is at the bottom left and the month and year at the bototm right. Contents include some forty articles on technique, study, and instruction; material on famous composers; music trends; teaching children; parental influences on musicians; and using phonographs for instruction. There are also several sections of reproduced scores, divided into the categories of "Fascinating Pieces for the Musical Home;" "Classic, Modern and Contemporary Master Works;" "Outstanding Vocal and Instrumental Novelties;" and "Delightful Pieces for Junior Etude Readers." Many black and white photographs and drawings, as well as a great many advertisements are included. In good condition, the artifact has dents at two corners; very light cover soiling; stains on the front cover; small tears on the spine; and some page yellowing.
