Description
A stereoscopic photograph of the front entrance of Hotel Alvarado, Westlake Park, Los Angeles, 11 September 1927. Between two palm trees at center and right are steps flanked by light fixtures and which lead to the courtyard entrance of the Moorish style structure, a wing of which is at the left, including a turret. Streetcar wires and tracks are also of note along Sixth Street in the foreground. An ink inscription on the reverse reads: "Front Entrance of / Hotel Alvarado / 6th & Alvarado Sts. / Los Angeles / Sun. Sept 11-1927." With wrapping, minor soiling, edge abrasions, and some browning on the reverse, the overall condition is good.
