The Graf Zeppelin on the ground near Los Angeles, 1929. The image shows about two-thirds or so of the dirigible, tied down in an open field, likely in the area south of Los Angeles. The view is from a distance, so people are visible around the cockpit and passenger compartment and nearby the vessel. On the reverse is an inscription in German noting the location and date. With some creasing, soiling, and residue of photo album paper on the reverse, the overall condition is fair.
