Description

The grounds of the residence "Carmelita" in Pasadena, probably by Parker, ca. 1900. The view shows the lush landscaping, walks, a gazebo and other features of the property, now the site of the Norton Simon Museum of Art. Although a modern envelope labels the image as "Carmelita -- 2," the paper sleeve that came with the negative gives no information, but given that there were two other images in this accession from Parker, it is assumed that it is from his work. The sleeve is in two pieces and in very poor shape, but the negative seems to be in good condition.
