Description

"The Growth of Unit Ownership in Los Angeles," published by Benham Indian Trading Company, Los Angeles, ca. 1908. The card has three colorized photographs of downtown commercial structures, two of eleven stories and one of four, with the addresses, dates of construction (the latter being 1908, hence the estimated date), and number of units. Text describes how the three are owned by four hundred persons owning units in the buildings. These structures, all surviving, are known as the Union Trust, Judson Rives, and Braly buildings. The unused card has some yellow staining at the left and edge rubbing, but is in otherwise good condition.
