"The Hill from Nadeau Block, Los Angeles, Cal.," F. H. Rogers and Company, Los Angeles, ca. 1885. The view shows the residential area of the town southwest of the Nadeau Hotel's location Second and Spring looking toward Bunker Hill, with a variety of single and two-story homes surrounded by trees and other landscaping. The photographer's stamp is on the side margins and the title is an ink inscription on the reverse, on which the name "LAURIE" is written in pencil in what looks like a child's hand. With small stains, soiling, and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
