"The Holy Bible," published by James Pott and Company, New York and printed at the University Press, Cambridge, England, ca. 1910. On the presentation page is a pen inscription to "Principal Musician / Charles P.L. / Temple" from "Captain, R. K. / Bailey." Bailey was with the Los Angeles Military Academy in El Sereno, where Temple was educated through Walter Temple's sponsorship. The bible was found on the floor in La Casa Nueva by Mrs. Miguel in the 1970s, decades after the Temple family left the house and it is unclear how Charles Temple would have left it in the house, given that he never lived in it. With missing covers, a loose binding, creasing, soiling, staining, dogeared corners and rubbing, The condition is poor.Lexicon
