Description

Color: Brown; Gold "The House Beautiful Furnishing Annual," (Boston: Atlantic Monthly Company,) 1926. The 168 page brown hard-cover book has the title at the center and the publisher's name at the bottom all in gold lettering. At the beginning of the inside is title page, preface, a table of contents, and an introduction. There are many aspects of interior decoration covered including walls and wall coverings; interior woodwork; floors and floor coverings; ceilings; interior fixtures; furniture design and construction; hangings; decorative notes of accent in rooms; and demonstrative furniture arrangement. Also included are many black and white photographs and drawings, color illustrations, and floor plans. At the back are many advertisements and a general index. With corner and spine rubbing; acid burns on the first and last page from flysheet contact; dents on the cover corner; slight page yellowing; fading of the gold lettering and cover color; moisture damage and warping evident on the cover; and some light stains on the cover and from the acid burns noted above, the object is in good condition overall.
