Description

A snapshot of the house of boxer Jack Dempsey, F. Morrison Boyd, 1925. The image is taken from the yard and shows lush landscaping, including lawns, palm and other trees, bushes and shrubs and paths. Somewhat concealed behind all this is the one-story house, but the image is faded so details are hard to make out. On the reverse in pencil is, "Los Angeles" and in ink, "Home of Jack Dempsey." Boyd, a road scout with the American Automobile Association, was on a 37,000-mile trip through the U.S., Mexico and Canada. With the fading and some soiling, the condition is fair overall.
