2011.140.1.7Description
The lake at Westlake Park, Los Angeles, F. Morrison Boyd, 1925. Boyd stood at the edge of the body of water and captures most of it, including some boaters in a canoe and, at the left, the boathouse. Many trees line the lake and, in the distance, is part of a tall building. On the reverse is the ink inscription: "West Lake Park." The park is now MacArthur Park. Boyd, a road scout for the American Automobile Association, was on a 37,000-mile trip through the U.S., Mexico and Canada. With some soiling and a few small stains, the overall condition is good.
