Description

"The Land of Sunshine," April 1896 (Vol. IV, No. 5,) published by Land of Sunshine Publishing Company, Los Angeles. Edited by Charles F. Lummis, the magazine features poetry, fiction, illustrations and articles, including Lummis' travelogue about New Mexico and Arizona. There are also regular features such as the editor's "The Lion's Den" and "That Which is Written," and reports on the work of "The Landmarks Club" and the Los Angeles Fiesta. Many advertisements, mainly from the Los Angeles area, are also included. The wrappers have edge tears, creases, soiling and edge rubbing, while pages are generally clean, so the overall condition is good.
