The magazine, which is the "Holiday Number," contains articles on the history of southern California, travel articles, fiction and poetry, and others. Special articles include one on John C. Fremont by his widow, Jessie Benton Fremont and one on the Plaza Church in Los Angeles. There are illustrations and many area-related advertisements.
