"The Lyceum," December 1896 (Vol. 4, No. 1.) The magazine was published by the Debating Lyceum of Los Angeles High School and includes a variety of items relative to the lyceum, but also of school athletics, including football and baseball; the Law Students Association of Los Angeles; societies with the state Normal School branch; and social news. While the front wrapper mentions "Christmas 1896," there is little of the holiday mentioned in the pages. The item also contains many local advertisements. With many edge tears, much soiling and a frayed spine to the wrappers, but clean pages, the condition is fair.Lexicon
