Description

The Marks residence, Los Angeles, Howard C. Tibbits, ca. 1910s. The view is taken from the middle of an intersection of unpaved streets and looks toward the corner lot and the house, which is an eclectic mix of Moorish, Spanish Colonial or Mission Revival, and other styles, including Romanesque walls at its base. The three-story house has a corner tower with a tiled roof and another tower at the rear topped by a dome. The name is inscribed in ink at the bottom and there is a stamped number at the top right. A crossed out number and one written next to it in pencil are at the bottom right. The photo is mounted onto a linen sheet. With some minor soiling and warping on the linen, the condition is good.
