Description

"The Medical and Surgical Reporter," Vol. XX, No. 7 (13 February 1869). The trade publication is notable for its article on pages 129-130 by W. S. King, surgeon for the U. S. Army in Detroit, Michigan on "Acorns as Food" among the Indians of California, specifically those living in the area near the headwaters of the San Joaquin River in the Sierra Nevada Mountains foothills. With tape at the spine to hold the publication together, folds, creases, a few areas of foxing, but otherwise clean pages, the condition is good.
